Carolingian letterforms from the early ninth century guided the round, calligraphic structure and wide shapes. My aim was to capture the essence of fantasy in a typeface, which resulted in a polished humanist serif that is closely related to hand drawn forms. The large x-height and low contrast help with legibility requirements making it a great choice for longer uses of text and flavourful user interfaces. When combined with Avona as the display typeface, the two work together to visually create a world of magical fantasy while meeting the demands of good modern typography.
